Brian Self, scammer in Saskatoon

I employed Brian so called expertise on Freelancer.com after he agreed to take the job of building a website for auctioning. We agreed that the website would be up and running in 4 weeks.

The total cost of the job was $700. I made an initial payment of $200 and then another $200 in a week from my credit card. Weeks passed and I had yet to see anything from Brian that would make me believe he knew what he was doing.

I have been turned around and around so many times I just got tired of asking to see something concrete. Even up to that point I was still very tolerant. A week ago I noticed a charge on my credit card that I didn’t make so I first contacted the webmaster of the website Behance and I was told to call them and they could tell me who charged my card.

Before I made further contact with them I asked Brian about the charge and he swears that he has no idea who Behance is so I left it alone. I was still very suspicious of him because he is of very shady character. I contacted Behance a final time and they told me that it was Brian that made the charge.

Even if he had admitted to it, I would have overlooked it but he is a LIAR! At that point I told him I was through with the job and that I didn’t want him to continue and that I wanted to be refunded immediately for my $400 he debited from my account.

He responded by saying that their billing cycle is on the 1st of July and that I would get it then. I told him I’m not waiting til then because I need to find someone trustworthy to do my work and I gave him til Friday of the following week which is today to refund my money.

I tried to contact him Thursday which was yesterday to remind him of the refund today. It is now 6pm Friday evening and I haven’t heard from him days now despite me trying to reach him repeatedly. I read the feedback on Freelancer.com about him and I wish I had done it before hiring him. Now I am in the hole $400.
